Codman Community Farms

Jen James is our Farm Director. Before coming to Codman Community Farms, Jen worked at The Food Project for nine years in a variety of roles, including Director of Communications and Associate Director.

Peter Merrill is our Head Farmer. Peter studied at the Farm School, ran the Big Ox Farm at Minuteman National Park and brings loads of other skills and experience to the farm.

David Morris is our Assistant Farmer. David graduated from the North Carolina State with a degree in Agricultural Business Management. He also attended the Farm School for a year.

Volunteer of the Year

2009: Sydney McGrath, now in middle school, has been volunteering at the farm every Friday for the past few years. Her favorite animals are the pigs. She is very reliable, capable, independent, quiet and focused.

2008: Joan Teebagy is our volunteer of the year for her extensive work with our poultry, and willingness to help as needed! Joan has cotaught our chicken classes, helped with various groups including the Metco group and girl scouts. Joan is an avid gardener, has chickens of her own, and is enjoying her new grandson!
